It’s Not About Me, It’s About You.
My name is Eoin Murphy and I am here to make health and fitness as rewarding, enjoyable and fun as I possibly can for you. Your experience in and with EMF is my priority and I aim to make it out of this world.
I have been lucky enough to work and train in gyms all over the world and be coached and mentored by some of the best trainers on this earth. Cork Institute of Technology was kind enough to give me two degrees and Cardiff Metropolitan was even kinder in giving me a Masters in Sports Science.
However, that is only worth something if I can help you. Hense, results driven and banter based is how we achieve greatness down EMF way.
I do love lifting weights, boxing and general tomfoolery. If you don’t, that’s totally cool. It is up to me to find a way to fit fitness into your life. If you are in front of me in EMF you have already achieved one of the hardest parts of any endeavor, asking for help. I appreciate it and am forever grateful for you putting your trust in me and EMF. It won’t always be easy but that’s a good thing. Most things that are worthwhile require a little graft, a bottle of elbow grease and a whole lot of fun.
I find only one of two things will happen for you when working with me. Either you achieve everything you set out to and have a wonderful, magical and error-free time or you simply have underestimated the work required and overestimated the resources you have to dedicate to that goal. Either outcome is a win for you because you learn about yourself in both.
If the goal posts change over time I am with you every step of the way to help you with whatever goals you may have from your training and nutrition.

My mission is to inspire change, provide direction and live a fulfilling life.
I have played sports or done some sort of physical activity my whole life. I was always the jack of all trades and the master of none in nearly everything I did, but I decided to change that.
I first got into the area of personal training because I knew I wanted to help people. Now, not only do I want to help, but I want to help others improve, grow, adapt and get stronger. With all my years of training, I found that there is no right or wrong answer. There’s no plan that fits all. It’s a collection of strategies and lifestyle changes that are arranged to suit a person’s differences and needs. I’m still learning in this field and I think I always will be. If you ask me a question that I don’t know the answer to, I’ll research it and learn it for you.
I admire anyone who wants to start a journey of self-improvement. Maybe you don’t know how to start, or maybe you’re afraid to start. That’s where I come in. I’m here to help because I love to help. Your goals may not be easy to achieve. However, all you have to do is take one step or do one thing everyday day that helps you towards that goal. Before you know it, you’re successful. You just have to put your mind to it.
You see people pushing the beliefs of what they thought possible every day. You can too. So do it with me.

My goal is to guide and help the everyday person on how fun and impactful training can be to their lives.
For as long as I can remember I’ve been mad about sports. I’ve played football for years, in 2012 I dove into weight training and I’ve never looked back. Normal was always boring to me. That’s why I was always drawn to physical activity; there’s so many different activities, movements and exercises out there that I knew there was something for everyone and I felt like that’s where I could excel.
There is something special about training with individuals of all ages. I’ve been fortunate enough to work, coach and train with people from the ages of 5 to 65, all with their own unique backgrounds. I love that I have the opportunity to work with such a wide range of wonderful people. Everyone deserves a place to train and feel good; it’s my job to help you feel welcomed, comfortable and positive about exercise. Once you take that first step and ask for help, it’s the hardest part done. That’s when the fun and banter starts 🙂
The hardest part with anything is getting started but with the support of all the EMF coaches and members it makes things 100 times easier. The community here is outstanding. Lifting & Laughing to me means much so more than a gym with jokes. EMF is a fun family focused gym with a huge sense of community. All shapes and sizes are welcomed with open arms and there’s never any reason why someone can’t enjoy the gym environment.
